Oregon Bride Goes Viral Streaming Ducks Game On Her Wedding Dress

football game wedding dress

Weddings during football season, for it or against it? Earlier this year, there was a massive debate on whether weddings during football season are kosher or criminal. The internet was split, with some people saying it's not the end of the world to miss one of your team's games or attend the wedding of your friend or family members. Then others said they would reply "decline" to the wedding invitation if it fell on a non-bye week. Check out just a few of the Tweets posted during this heated debate. An Oregon bride gives her wedding dress multiple uses, projecting a football game onto her gown during the reception. It's genius when you think about it. A projector screen is traditionally a big white piece of cloth or a more rigid material used as a backdrop; the footage can be seen clearly across the material for viewers' enjoyment. You know what else is a piece of giant white cloth? A wedding dress. The bride held out both sides of her princess-style wedding dress, creating the perfect backdrop for projecting the game. According to the video's caption, the bride was all for streaming the game on her dress because she did not want to miss it. In the video, the bride smiles as she leads a chant for her team to increase their offense.

"When you are getting married, but your team is playing. You improvise. She wasn't about to miss the game."

So now, the narrative surrounding weddings during football season debate should be changed to whether brides are willing to stream the game across their wedding dresses because this Oregon woman proved that you can have the best of both worlds with this argument.

While we do not personally know this bride, I can tell from this video alone that she was far from being a bridezilla during this season of life. The comments quickly filled up on the post, praising her sense of humor; check them out. "I love a bride with a sense of humor." "LITERALLY glowing." "I love this! So funny and creative!" "This would’ve been me if we hadn’t specifically planned our wedding around the South Carolina bye week." "This should be more viral than it is." "Epic!" "Hahah, so real. I love this." "This is so freakin' funny omg." "To be a woman is to perform." "We approve of this message." "You deserve season tickets!" "New meaning of married to the game." There were also some comments from women upset that her husband prioritized the game over their big day. The social media user, who appears to be their wedding photographer, assured folks in the comments that this was her idea. "It was her idea; she wanted the game on, and it was the only plain surface in the barn." This woman gets the award for Bride of the Year.
