Thought we already knew all her tips for finding a partner?
Haliey Welch, better known as the Hawk Tuah girl, is desperately clinging to her viral fame this summer, when she became the biggest meme of the year after being asked during a man on the street interview for her advice for pleasing a man:
"You gotta give 'em that hawk tuah, spit on that thang."
Simple enough, right?
Since then, Welch has tried to capitalize on her viral fame through appearances with names like Zach Bryan, Shaq and Matt Rife, as well as her critically acclaimed podcast Talk Tuah. (And by "critically acclaimed" I mean the people who are mocking it in the comments are hilarious).
But anyway, apparently Welch isn't done expanding her empire, and this week she announced her next venture is a brand new dating app called "Pookie."
Pookie is, of course, a reference to a line from her now-viral video when she shouted out her "situationship" at the time, who is now her boyfriend. Pookie recently made his "long-awaited" public debut on an episode of her podcast that was timed with the launch of the app.
So you're probably thinking, another dating app? Aren't there a ton of those already?
Yes. Yes there are. But on Pookie, Welch promises you her "new cheat codes for navigating dating with confidence."
Now, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure she already gave us her cheat code for dating in her very first viral video. Is that not what "hawk tuah" was?
But anyway, according to People, the app includes "a conversation assistant with personalized suggestions to keep chats going, zodiac compatibility, outfit recommendations, date ideas and engaging openers to help break the ice."
Sounds promising. Always gotta check the zodiac signs before you give 'em that hawk tuah. And after listening to Talk Tuah, there's nobody better to help with conversations than the Hawk Tuah girl herself. I mean, where else are you going to find riveting discussions like this one?
I'm sold. The app also includes "unique tools" like a baldness predictor, which "offers a light-hearted look into future appearances." And there's also a "height detector," which I guess is so girls can make sure a guy's not lying about his height? Don't wanna show up to a date and find out he's as short as Zach Bryan, right? Well if you're single, today's your lucky day because the Pookie app has already launched on iOS, and offers a three-day free trial that's included with your first purchase. Honestly, I was going to download it so I could look through it to better describe it for this article, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. As a 35-year old man, there's just no way I could feel good about myself knowing that I had the "Pookie" app on my phone, whether I actually used it for dating purposes or not. Of course I'm not big on the dating apps anyway. Never really used them, and don't have any intention of starting. But if that's your thing, well, the Hawk Tuah girl has you covered.@finest_of_tiktok #hawktuah #talktuah #halieywelch #whitneycummimgs #talktuahpodcast ♬ original sound - Podcast Clips
