Now, I'm sure it would be quite the pay cut for Pitbull to take the job. US Senators make $174,000 per year, while Pitbull just announced a 5-stop tour in Europe for next February that will no pay...well, a lot more than $174,000 for 5 nights of work. https://twitter.com/pitbull/status/1856351248816975915 Gonna go out on a limb and say he probably doesn't want the job. But then again, do Senators really work THAT much? He could probably fit his tour in around all the time off that our government takes. Come back to vote and then head to Europe to sing "Timber." It could work. Of course the governor will almost certainly appoint a Republican to fill the seat, and we don't really know much about Mr. Pitbull's politics. But as a first generation Cuban American, there's a good chance that he leans right. In fact, in the past he's even spoken out about the dangers of communism in Cuba: “It frustrates me, to a certain extent, being a Cuban-American and having a platform to speak to the world and not being able to help my own people. Not being able to get them food, not being able to get them water, not being able to get them medicine. But most of all not being able to help and really get them what they deserve, which is freedom.” Cuban Americans are largely Republicans because many of them know the dangers of government overreach and the creep towards communism. So it would stand to reason that Pitbull would likely be a Republican, even if he's not outspoken about his political views. But I don't think the people on the internet are really taking his politics into account when they ask for him to be appointed to the Senate. I think everybody just wants to see Senator Pitbull in Washington.Would’ve been a better Secretary of State tbh. He is Mr worldwide after all.
