Probably has a lot of weird offers in her DMs.
One of the biggest memes of the year has been the "Hawk Tuah girl" Haliey Welch, who went insanely viral over the summer after a video surfaced of her giving tips on how to please a man in bed:
"You gotta give 'em that hawk tuah, spit on that thang."
And while the meme has pretty much died out, Welch has managed to cling to her 15 minutes of fame through her
Talk Tuah podcast, where she has on various guests to talk about...well I'm not entirely sure what it's about it. But that's not the point.
There's no doubt that Welch had plenty of opportunities in the wake of her viral fame. After going viral, Welch was appearing onstage with Zach Bryan, partying with Shaq and even appearing on an awkward episode of Bill Maher's podcast.
She revealed early on that she turned down an offer from Playboy, who wanted to feature her and her friend Chelsea, who was also featured in the original viral video:
“They reached out to my friend Chelsea wanting to include us in some of their stuff and we turned it down.”
And she also has said she doesn't have any interest in joining OnlyFans, which many assumed would be her natural next step after going viral for a sex joke.
But those aren't the only offers she's gotten.
Welch revealed in the past that she's been getting a lot of offers for pictures of one specific body part - and no, not the ones you're thinking:
“Toes. They want pictures of my toes.”
Weird, but hey, who am I to judge.
And on her most recent episode of
Talk Tuah, she revealed another offer she's gotten in her DMs: A guy offered her and her friend Chelsea $60,000 for a threesome.
But according to Welch, that wasn't nearly enough money:
"I'm like, that's awful cheap buddy."
Apparently neither of the ladies responded to the offer, and obviously they didn't seriously consider it, but man, the balls it takes for dudes to just randomly slide into a girl's DMs and throw out something like that. Don't get me wrong, it's gross and dudes need to do better, but you gotta respect not only the guy's hustle (I guess) but also the girls for turning it down.
Of course there's no doubt that she's making way more than that with her current ventures, which include the podcast and her associated "Hawk Tuah" merch. She was reportedly fetching up to $30,000 per appearance this summer at the height of her viral fame, though I'd say that's dropped off quite a bit now that the "Hawk Tuah" meme has kind of fizzled out.
Either way at this point $60k is just a drop in the bucket of what she's already made. But at least it gave her something to laugh about on her podcast.
