![Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman Hilariously Had To Explain What “Truck Nuts” Are To A Confused New York Times Reporter]()
![John Fetterman]()
Living in two different worlds.
I've lived in the south my whole life, so you could ask pretty much anybody about "truck nuts" and they'd know what you're talking about.
If you're somehow unfamiliar with truck nuts (I doubt you'd be reading this in the first place) they're pretty much exactly what they sound like: A pair of dangling testicles that hang from a truck's tow hitch.
You don't see them as much anymore, but there for a while pretty much every truck out there had a pair of balls hanging from the back of them.
But I guess the truck nut phenomenon never really made it to New York City.
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman was doing an interview with the New York Times recently when - somehow - the topic of truck nuts came up. Fetterman is a Democrat representing the swing state, and was asked by reporter about the support for Donald Trump from union members in his state. And he recalled a story involving a guy with a pair of truck nuts expressing his support for the former president:
"I live directly across the street from the steel mill, and we were doing an event there for Clinton. And I asked the union president, I'm like, 'Hey where are we on Trump?' He's like, 'Probably half or 60%, two thirds are voting for him.' I was like, 'Oh, that sucks.'
And then immediately there was a guy getting off, and he had a truck, and he had truck nuts on it.
Do you know what truck nuts are?"
Well reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro clearly had no idea:
"Do I look like I know what truck nuts are?"
Luckily Fetterman was happy to explain it to her:
"It's balls hung on the hitch of a truck. And he honked and he was like, 'Go Trump!' as he drove by. And it's like, hey we're in trouble. And it's undeniable."
Absolutely incredible. A week before the election and we've got a senator explaining to a New York Times reporter what truck nuts are. Really shows the difference between the cities and rural America, eh?
