Jay Cutler Tried To Pay The Driver He Rear-Ended $2,000 Not To Call Police Before DUI Arrest

More details have come out of the Jay Cutler arrest in downtown Franklin, Tennessee last night. The 41-year old former NFL and Vanderbilt quarterback allegedly rear-ended a blue GMC at around 5pm yesterday. Reports say his eyes were "bloodshot", "glassy", and "dilated" and he smelled of alcohol. He refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital for blood tests before being booked at the Williamson County Jail. He was released after paying a $5,000 bond. According to CBS Chicago, police confirmed that that Cutler initially tried to flee the accident. When that failed, he offered the driver of the GMC $2,000 to not report the accident. Not going to lie, if you want to pay somebody off you're going to have to do better than 2 grand. Sure, it's a decent amount of money but assuming the rear bumper had to be replaced, that's not going to even cover the repair. You can find a replacement bumper for around $1,300 and that doesn't take into consideration labor, any additional parts, or the inconvenience of having your car wreaked by a drunk guy.
