Yeah, it's pretty much official that
Landman is going to be incredible...
Despite the future of his flagship show,
Yellowstone, remaining up in the air, Taylor Sheridan has been hard at work on a slew of other projects.
Of course, some of these started awhile back, like
1883 and
1923, both
Yellowstone prequels, but more shows and seasons seem to be announced constantly in the Sheridan/
Paramount+ universe and just now we're getting news of another big hire for an upcoming series.
Michael Peña, the actor known for his roles in movies such as
Ant-Man, American Hustle, Shooter, and
A Million Miles Away, as well as in series like
Narcos: Mexico and
Jack Ryan, has been added to an already loaded cast as a guest star role in
Landman.

If you thought I was overselling
Landman's loaded cast, think again because Peña will be joining
Demi Moore, Billy Bob Thornton, James Jordan,
Jon Hamm, and many others for the West Texas based series.
Landman is based off the podcast
Boomtown and will center around the business of oil and all the slime and stories that can bring. The official synopsis is:
“An upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.”
A Taylor Sheridan drama about a crazy and interesting subculture with the onscreen talent of these actors? Sign me UP.

As of now, there is no hard release date for
Landman but it's expected to come out late this year or early next, which gives you plenty of time to catch up on
Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and
Lawman: Bass Reeves.
Fingers crossed this all goes off without a hitch because I haven't been this excited for a new show in quite some time.
