The people involved with NASCAR have been absolutely incredible in helping however they can with Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
Of course, there are so many people who are hurting right now after Hurricane Helene destroyed many areas across several states, and over 200 people have already been confirmed dead. Hundreds more are still missing as rescue crews continue try to provide aid and reach the hardest-hit areas.
The pictures and videos of the devastation are absolutely unthinkable. It’s just heartbreaking to think about those who are suffering so much right now – and even those families still waiting to hear from their loved ones, as some are still without power, cell phones and basic supplies, though it’s certainly improving drastically.
But through the tragedy, we’ve seen many in the community and across the country step up to provide aid and help those who are suffering.
From drivers like Greg Biffle, who has done more than just about anybody flying around his private helicopter day after day
to deliver supplies and rescue people, to Joe Gibbs, Rick Hendrick and their race teams, it's been special to witness.
The speedways are also involved, and Charlotte and North Wilkesboro have already sent up an
amazing amount of supplies thanks to the donations of many generous North Carolinians:
Today, Hendrick Motorsports, Sonic auto and Charlotte Motor Speedway announced that they were joining together to donate an impressive $2 million to
Samaritan's Purse for ongoing relief efforts:
"Together with Hendrick Cars, Sonic auto and Charlotte Motor Speedway, we are pledging a combined $2 million to Samaritan’s Purse in support of Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Once again, the NASCAR community is stepping up to take care of their own, and it's a truly beautiful thing to witness.
Of course, like they mentioned in the statement below, many of their employees have personal ties to the region, from friends to family who live there and were personally affected, so this means even more and will certainly help so many of their fellow North Carolinians:
