The MLB Is Bringing Back Team Jerseys For The All Star Game, & Baseball Fans Love It

Professional baseball gets a bad rep for not being willing to adapt to a new phase of the sport but I think it's time we hang up that critique for awhile. In just the past few years we've gotten a universal DH, pitch clock, pick-off rules, shift banning, extra innings beginning with a runner on second, and instant reply, which is way more than any other league has done of late to modernize the game. Granted, I hate a lot of those rules (especially the runner on second in extras, I mean I get old man trying to understand TikTok trends mad when I see it) but it at least shows that the league's brass is taking concerns to heart and doing something with public feedback. Well, the league just announced there would be a change involving jerseys next season and it's one of those rare decisions that is loved by all baseball fans. According to Anthony Castrovince from MLB.com, starting next year, players in the All Star game will go back to wearing their team's jersey, which was the case from the 1930's to 2019, when the league decided to create custom jerseys for each team, each year. Obviously, they were just trying to sell more one-off merch but it back fired and has been near universally reviled by everyone since its roll out.
