I swear nobody is actually watching this show for actual entertainment, are they?
The only time I hear about The View seems to be when one of their hosts says something mind-numbingly stupid.
Unfortunately, that means I hear about The View way too much.
The ABC show hosted by Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin is somehow still one of the most watched daytime television talk shows, so apparently SOME people are still watching it, but at this point I'm convinced it's more out of hate than because they're hoping to get actual coherent commentary on world events.
And the latest example of that is their recent discussion on Brittany Mahomes.
Of course the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has gotten a lot of attention lately after she liked a post of former President Donald Trump's on Instagram. She then liked a couple of comments on her own post that were supportive of the GOP nominee, leading many to assume that she herself is a Trump supporter.
And apparently to some people, that's completely unacceptable.
Trump himself has praised Brittany for her support, and even said that he prefers "Mrs. Mahomes" to Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who recently endorsed Kamala Harris.
But the scholars on The View don't understand how somebody could have a different political opinion than they do, with host Sunny Hostin discussing Brittany's support for Trump on yesterday's episode:
"It just seems to me that since she is in an interracial marriage, she should have known that to support a racist is problematic. Her children are biracial. And her family is one of the families that in the '70s could not have lived in any of Donald Trump's buildings.So it just seems to me that maybe she's just not that politically savvy or maybe she's just not read in, but it's problematic."

I mean, what? You're calling Brittany Mahomes, a white woman with a black husband and biracial children, racist for supporting Donald Trump?
Of course most people don't take anything they say on The View seriously at this point, but plenty of people took to social media to criticize Hostin for her disgusting comments:

Who watches them? Who sits in their audience? What on earth. They called another woman stupid because maybe she doesn’t think like them. Stunning.
Maybe we should all just agree not to even talk about the dumb shit they say. If nobody cares, maybe they'll finally pull this ridiculous show off the air.
