Defending his big brother. Jason Kelce is off the field and behind the desk, fitting in perfectly with the Monday Night Football crew providing commentary on the games. But while his personality blends well, his dance moves are another story. Before kick-off on Monday, Jason Kelce was busting a move on stage, hyping up the crowd as he made his first return to Philadelphia since retiring from the Eagles last offseason. Hitting some running man variation, Kelce lived his best life behind the DJ booth. https://twitter.com/espn/status/1835797352285700147 But as we know, the internet is a meatgrinder, and football fans and social media users quickly formed split opinions on the dance moves. Some loved it and noted how badly this clip made them want to become friends with Jason Kelce, and others questioned if he was on "something." Even Travis' teammate Patrick Mahomes chimed in on the conversation: "Go crazy then!!" https://twitter.com/PatrickMahomes/status/1835800180706177338 Yesterday, Jason and Travis sat down for their New Heights Podcast and debriefed what happened on stage Monday night. Jason made it very clear that he was not drinking (although he was tossing beers into the crowd) and that he takes his job seriously. “Do you know how hard that was? I’m a professional, Travis. I don’t mess around.” Jason then explains why he thought it was a good idea to bust a move while waiting for the show to start. “What happened is we were supposed to be on that stage to start the countdown, and I walked over too soon. I had to kill 30 minutes before the show started, and I’m just up there with these DJs, just standing there. I’m like, ‘I gotta do something.'" While Jason fully admitted he knew it was not his "best running man," he did say it was hard to see what the critics on social media said after the game. “Do you know how devastating it is to open X and just see a bunch of people quoting tweets of you dancing and putting clown emojis above you?” Little brother Travis did not let his big brother's confidence slip after that, though, and made sure to hype him up for his performance. “Everyone thinks I’m the dancer. Dude, you are the f***ing most electric dancer I’ve ever met in my life. You can put a smile on anybody’s face by dancing. It is so good. And when you get in that mode, when you go full-send, oh my gosh, thank you for that... I’ll have that forever. I’ll have that in my back pocket for a f***ing cloudy day.” Ain't that the truth? Kelce's moves might have been deemed unconventional, but they brightened everyone's day. Never change, Jason, never change.
