Oh, and in addition to an O line that looked like Swiss cheese and a defense that let the Saints score almost 50 points in the season opener, it appears as though our best player, Pro Bowl DL Derrick Brown, suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury. There were no signs of anything happening to him during the game, but the meniscus injury will require surgery, which will determine the exact timeline and he could potentially miss the entire season. Yeah, I'm not one for voodoo or superstitions or anything like that, but it is really starting to feel like we're cursed:Bryce Young's 32.8 QB Rating today is the lowest of his career.

Oh, and don't get me started on the "devil" that's at work...Derrick Brown is the final blow. The final straw. There is some sort of devil magic at work. I’m not kidding. Cursed franchise

Everything about the organization is a joke, and if there's one person who truly understands my pain, it's Mr. Luke Combs, one of the Panthers most famous fans. He took to X (Twitter) yesterday to share his thoughts on the game and team in general, calling it "gruesome" to watch and commenting on the lack of improvement we've seen since last season, even with an almost entirely new coaching staff and "offensive genius" new head coach in Dave Canales: "New year, same old Panthers. Absolutely gruesome watch." LOVE that he actually tagged them, too:#Reminder pic.twitter.com/iIGSRcKqYc

Luke has been publicly outspoken about his feelings on the Panthers in recent years, namely since David Tepper bought the team in July of 2018. And as we continue to spiral downward, at an alarmingly fast rate, it feels like this is going to be the sad reality of Panthers fans across the Carolina's for many years to come. Former Panthers great Luke Kuechly didn't make me feel much better about all of it, either... if you know a Panthers fan, say a prayer for 'em during this football season. It's ROUGH out here and things (somehow) keep getting worse when that seems entirely impossible.New year, same old @Panthers. Absolutely gruesome watch.

And if you know a Panthers fan who is also an Appalachian State fan, like Luke and myself, say a couple extra prayers for us. It's shaping up to be a potentially dark football season for us all-around:Don't be surprised when the #Saints come marching into the playoff picture down the stretch... 👀⚜️🔊 @heykayadams @LukeKuechly @Saints https://t.co/oPNxmGcBDU pic.twitter.com/zsk03vhC65
