“What The F**k Are You Talking About?”– Joe Rogan Goes Scorched Earth On The New York Times For Calling The Constitution “Dangerous”

Joe Rogan

What do you expect from The New York Times? Obviously I have my own political views, but it's hard to argue that the Times isn't incredibly liberal. A review of the publication from AllSides, a media company that reviews news coverage for bias on both the left and right, found the New York Times opinion page to be "left" while the news content from the NYT was slightly less biased but still rated as "lean left." And hey, that's fine, until you try to present yourself as unbiased - which The New York Times tries to claim. Ok, rant over. Well The New York Times recently posted a mind-numbingly stupid article from Canadian book critic Jennifer Szalai that should erase any doubt about which way the paper's politics are slanted. The article was titled "The Constitution Is Sacred. Is It Also Dangerous?" And in the subtitle, the author made the bold claim: "One of the biggest threats to America’s politics might be the country’s founding document." And it only got better from there, as Szalai basically "blamed" the Constitution for Donald Trump's rise in American politics, and claiming that Americans "succumb to the conventional wisdom of Constitution worship" rather than making what she sees as "progress." Now, I'm not here to critique the article itself, or point out that what she sees as a bug in our political system might actually be a feature that keeps one person's idea of "progress" from being forced on an entire country that might not agree. But Joe Rogan also took issue with the article, and during a recent episode of his Joe Rogan Experience podcast with author Bret Weinstein, went scorched earth on the claims that the Constitution is somehow "dangerous." "This is so crazy. It's really hard to believe that someone would print this and The New York Times would say, 'Yeah, we like it, put it out there.'" What the f*ck are you talking about? One of the biggest threats to America's politics? Might be one of the greatest documents that any country was ever founded on, if not THE greatest, ever. That could be a threat to America's politics? What politics are we talking about? How could you possibly gaslight me enough to go along with you on this?" Weinstein, who is an evolutionary biologist and has considered himself a left-leaning libertarian who supported Robert F. Kennedy in the 2024 election, called the drivel "predictable," yet insane: "It's incredible. On the one hand it's completely predictable, because there's obviously an authoritarian force there that just grinds its teeth at night over the Constitution and the fact that it prevents it from doing things that it just wants to do last week. So of course they're scratching their heads like, 'Can we come up with an argument for why it might be time to get rid of that thing?' And of course if you're a normal thinking person, this is complete insanity. But if you're a New York Times reader, I'm sure that fits with the kind of ethos that's been cultivated." He kinda hit the nail on the head. New York Times readers will see something like that and think it's brilliant, while the rest of the country will just laugh at the insanity that they're publishing. https://twitter.com/DailyCaller/status/1831400965553189303
