![Rob Schneider]()
Preach it.
Obviously in this age of cancel culture, free speech is a big topic of conversation.
Hell, just this week Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized after it was revealed that the Biden administration pressured the company to censor content about COVID-19 that it didn't like, which is obviously pretty chilling when the government is trying to tell social media companies what content it should show you.
And this masterful performance from Rob Schneider perfectly explains why free speech is so important.
The actor and comedian, who's come under fire in recent years for his outspoken conservative political beliefs (as well as his relationship with his daughter, singer Elle King), was at a show recently when a heckler got upset at something he said.
And Schneider put him in his place:
"You're mad? That's ok.
You know what the cool thing about America is? Free speech isn't the speech you like.
Nice stuff not what needs to be protected. It's the stuff that you hate that needs the protection, so that somebody like the government, or you, doesn't get to decide what everybody else gets to f*cking hear."
Couldn't have said it better.
Schneider then issued a challenge to the heckler:
"You're more than welcome to disagree and write an act and f*cking get on stage and sell out like I just f*cking did."
Nailed it.
